Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 28, 2026
This Policy explains how HomiApp ("Homi", "we") collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains information when a business or technician uses our SaaS platform for appliance repair operations.
Homi is a B2B product. Even so, the platform may process end-customer data from the user business, such as names, phone numbers, addresses, service notes, and commercial documents.
1. Data roles
Customer Data: information a user business uploads to operate its business, including end customers, jobs, schedules, photos, notes, documents, assignments, and location used inside the product. The user business determines the purposes and means of that processing; Homi processes that data to provide the Service.
Homi Data: information Homi processes for its own account, authentication, security, abuse prevention, support, operational or legal communications, terms acceptance, Homi billing when enabled, and legal compliance purposes.
If an end customer contacts Homi about data uploaded by a user business, we will normally redirect or coordinate the request with that business unless the law requires a different response.

3. How we use information
We use your information to:
- Provide the Service: Manage your account, process jobs, generate invoices, and enable collaboration among your team members.
- Send notifications: Appointment reminders, new job assignment alerts, and important communications about your account.
- Coordinate routes and dispatch: Show current location to your business during working hours, only when consent exists and the plan is eligible.
- Improve and protect the Service: Diagnose errors, measure performance, prevent abuse, improve workflows, and maintain security.
- Customer support: Respond to your inquiries and resolve technical issues.
- Compliance: Maintain legal, fiscal, acceptance, security, and Homi billing records when applicable.
4. Live location
Live location is available only for field users (administrators or technicians), with an eligible plan, configured working hours, and specific user consent. Homi is designed to show current location, not route history.
- The user can pause or revoke consent from the app.
- Location clears when working hours end, the app closes, permission is revoked, plan access is lost, or the user is suspended.
- Location is visible only to authorized users in the same business.
- Location is not sold, shared with external third parties for advertising, or used for advertising profiling.
If a business enables tracking for its team, that business is responsible for complying with applicable labor laws, monitoring notices, and internal policies.
5. Sharing data and providers
We do NOT sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
We only share information with:
- Firebase / Google Cloud: To operate the Service infrastructure (storage, authentication, push notifications).
- Google Maps Platform: For maps, geocoding, routes, traffic, and address-related views.
- Brevo SMTP: For operational, support, or account migration email when applicable.
- Stripe: For Homi billing when billing is enabled.
- Google AI services: Only when a Homi AI feature is used and processing the message or submitted context is necessary.
- Essential service providers: Only when reasonably necessary to operate, protect, or support the Service.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HomiApp or its users.
Homi may update its provider list when product architecture changes. We do not sell personal data or Customer Data.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
HomiApp is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that uses:
- Authentication tokens: Firebase Authentication uses secure tokens to keep your session active. These are not tracking cookies.
- Local storage: We store application preferences (theme, language) in the browser's local storage.
- Service Worker: For offline functionality and application caching.
We do NOT use tracking cookies, advertising, or third-party analytics.
7. User rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the Service
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Export your data in a readable format
- Withdraw your consent for data processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact homiappliance@gmail.com. We will verify your identity and respond within applicable timelines. Some requests may be limited by fiscal records, security, fraud prevention, disputes, legal hold, contractual obligations, or data that belongs to the user business.
8. State privacy rights
If a state privacy law applies to Homi or if we decide to handle requests voluntarily, you may have additional rights such as access, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out of sale/sharing, and limitation of sensitive information use.
- No sale: HomiApp does not sell personal information.
- No behavioral advertising: Homi does not share Customer Data for behavioral advertising.
- Sensitive information: Precise location requires specific consent from the field user.
- Non-discrimination: We will not treat you differently for exercising valid privacy rights.
To exercise these rights, contact homiappliance@gmail.com. Some Customer Data requests may require coordination with the user business that uploaded the data.
9. Retention and deletion
We retain data only as long as reasonably needed to operate the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain contractual evidence. Not everything is retained for 7 years.
- Issued documents and minimum fiscal metadata: conservative 7-year period, subject to legal hold.
- Unissued drafts: normally 90 to 365 days, unless operationally or legally needed.
- Account and company profile: deleted or anonymized after the operational closure window, except minimum required data.
- Legal acceptances and consent records: retained for several years as contractual evidence.
- Technical, activity, and security logs: shorter periods, except incidents, abuse, or legal hold.
- Support tickets and attachments: normally 12 to 24 months, except disputes, fraud, or incidents.
- Live location: Homi is designed not to keep route history.
- Public PDF links: expire 30 days after issuance or regeneration.
You may request a full export of your data (including issued documents) at any time by writing to homiappliance@gmail.com.
10. Support and sensitive attachments
Do not send SSNs, identity documents, full payment card numbers, banking data, passwords, medical data, children data, or highly sensitive material through support unless it is strictly necessary to resolve the case and no safer alternative exists.
Attachments sent to support may be visible to the Homi team and essential storage, email, or support providers. WhatsApp and email may have their own provider controls and retention.
11. Security
We implement the following security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in transit: All communications are conducted over HTTPS.
- Firebase Security Rules: Database-level security rules that ensure each user only accesses their company's data.
- Company isolation (companyId): Each company's data is completely isolated. No user can view, modify, or access another company's data.
- Secure authentication: Firebase Authentication with encrypted passwords.
We use providers such as Firebase/Google Cloud that maintain their own security programs and certifications. This should not be read as an independent certification of Homi.
While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100% secure. If we detect a security incident requiring notice, we will act without undue delay and according to applicable law, our contractual commitments, and the nature of the incident.
12. Minors
HomiApp is a service designed for businesses and professionals. It is not directed to children under 13. We do not intentionally collect information from minors. Users should not upload minors data unless strictly necessary for their business service and they have legal authority to do so.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Changes will take effect upon being posted on this page, and we will update the effective date at the top.
For significant changes, such as new material data uses, location, AI, critical providers, or privacy rights, we will notify by email, banner, or in-app notice when appropriate and may request new acceptance.
